Once you are settled into your new condo, whether full time or as a vacation, the best thing about about the Taft district is being able to walk to almost anything you need.  You are also just a short drive to golf, shopping and the Casino.  And, a day trip to other areas up and down the Oregon Coast.

The Historic Taft District

The Ebb Street Lofts will  be nestled in the south end of Lincoln City known as walkable, explorable Taft.  Taft is Lincoln City’s historic bay front district where you will find shopping, events, eateries and unique stores and artists. Taft boasts a rich past of logging and fishing  and shares a history of glass floats and sand castles.  You can walk to the beach, the shops, art galleries, a new food truck pod, a new brewery on the Bay and the oldest bar on the Coast just to name a few.

The  North Lincoln County Historical museum is a popular  destination. for visitors and locals alike.  Galleries start with the Native American exhibits and then give visitors and residents a good picture of what life was like as a pioneer and homesteader in North Lincoln County from the late 1800s to the mid 1920s.  Other Exhibits  depict the 1920s through the incorporation of Lincoln City in 1965.

There are quaint boutique shops in Historic Taft, along with galleries, abundant food choices and a boutique style locally owned grocery and liquor store within walking distance.  And, don’t forget that you can blow your own glass floats nearby and fly a kite or build a sand castle any day of the week at the nearby beach access.

Pelican Brewing

Pelican Brewing on the Siletz Bay is open for Limited Indoor Restaurant Dining, and Weather Dependent Patio Dining with select opening hours. Their newest expansive location lies along the  sprawling bayfront of the Siletz. Enjoy various beer options from the Siletz Bay Tap List along with fresh coastal-inspired cuisine.  The panoramic sunset views, and local wildlife is your backdrop and walking distance from the core of the Historic. Taft District..

The Pines Dine

The Pines Dine, where a foodie’s dream comes true! With food trucks from various cuisines surrounding one main dining hall,  Vin and Brau, you’ll be sure to find something you love!  In the heart of the Historic Taft district.

Mo's & The Waterfront

Southwest 51st Street is a charming, walkable area that ends at the waterfront of the mighty Pacific Ocean.  Plenty of sandy beach to walk, explore and dip your toes in the water.

Mo’s Restaurant on SW 51st Street in the Historic Taft District is a visitor and local favorite.  A staple on the Pacific Coast, Mo’s has  been a landmark for over 70 years.  Enjoy the view of the gorgeous Siletz Bay while tasting their world famous clam chowder and fresh seafood.

Eleanor’s Undertow is another landmark on 51st Street in Taft.  Food, games and ice cream treats in a family-friendly setting just across from the bay and beach access.

The 51st Street beach access is a favorite and only blocks from the Ebb Street Lofts.  The area features ample parking, a covered pavilion, restrooms, and is beach wheelchair accessible.  Every year Lincoln City’s 4th of July fireworks are enjoyed from this beach by families from near and far.

Kenny's Village Market

Grocery shopping is within walking distance from your loft in the Taft District.  Kenny’s IGA Village Market has been part of Taft’s history since the early 70’s and continues to be a family-owned and operated business.

You will find the  freshest seafood on the Oregon Coast from the shore to their store!  Northwest and International Wines create a backdrop for their unmatched produce department featuring seasonal Northwest fruits and vegetables.  The fresh Deli Department offers beach faves including hot  baked Northwest chicken as well as fantastic hand-crafted sandwiches and salads.  

Inside the store, you will also find a fully stocked liquor store, basic need items, cold beer, coastal souvenirs and unique gifts.

Salishan Golf Course

Just a short distance from your loft, you will find the most scenic golf resort on the Oregon Coast.  The Salishan Golf Links is an 18 hole,  Scottish links-style, par 71 golf course.  You can also visit the practice facilities which include a full-length driving range, a putting/chipping green, and a practice bunker to hone your skills. 

At Salishan Golf Links, golf means so much more than 18 holes. It’s an experience to be savored and remembered.

With old-growth timber or seaside bluffs at every turn, each hole provides a spectacular backdrop and a unique challenge.

The golf course restoration in 2004, overseen by Oregon golf legend and PGA Tour Pro Peter Jacobsen and his design firm, Jacobsen-Hardy Golf Design, preserves the layout and the spirit of Salishan’s fabled links while enhancing playability and opening the golf course to captivating ocean views.

Lincoln City & More

Oregon is full of natural wonders!  You can enjoy lush, vibrant green forests, majestic mountains, vast rich desert and the endless shimmering coast. 

Lincoln City is the Heart of the Oregon Coast where you will enjoy a coastal community with all the things beach and beyond.   Lincoln City stretches 7 miles along the Pacific Coast Highway where Hiking, Hunting and Fishing, Shopping, Casino and Food are nearby. .  To the North and South of Lincoln City, you will find other quaint coastal towns, lighthouses and miles and miles of ocean hugging highway.

To the North of Lincoln City there are other coastal towns that are bursting with art and history.  Astoria, for one,  is full of historical landmarks and is the site of several Hollywood movies because of its quiet, coastal charm and beauty.

To the South, you will pass through Depoe Bay and the smallest Harbor in the World.  Fishing vessels  catch  Salmon, Halibut, Tuna, Ling Cod and Rock Fish from the mighty Pacific Ocean.  Fish On!!  Whale Watching tours are enjoyed by visitors and locals.  For several months out of each year, you can often view the whales from shore.  They always put on a good show.   The Fleet of Flowers  is an event  hosted by Depoe Bay and the local Fleet each Memorial day to remember and honor those lost at sea.
